everyone who takes part or helps out at our annual competitions and fundraising events.
Our Handy Pony competition was held on July 3rd for riders with a wide age and ability range. All seven ponies were involved and Moo Nowell Smith was our Judge. We served more cakes and tea than ever before and the
highlight of the Tea Room was definitely Chloe Binn’s horseshoe cupcakes.
In September the Wedenesday morning and teatime riders participated in The Worlds Biggest Riding Lesson, raising over £750 for the Group. Special guests Rev Miri Keen and Suzanne Dando presented the rosettes. We gave Witney TV exclusive access to make 2 films about NYRDA and this event.
Waveney Luke was our Judge for the Dressage Competition and the five riders achieved a very high standard of riding on Paddy, Murphy, Fahye and Jasper
Miri returned to NYRDA in December to give a traditional Christmas Blessing to the ponies, riders and helpers. The Saturday session ended the term in Tinseltastic Xmas style.
However, let's not forget that each opportunity to ride at NYRDA is special event for our riders which is only made possible by the generosity of our supporters and the fantastic efforts of our volunteer helpers. If you can donate or help in 2012, please contact us via events@newyattrda.org.uk
